Summer is just two months away and if you don’t have plans for a summer vacation, then consider creating a relaxing experience in the backyard. A hot tub could be just what you need at the end of a long day at work or to get through the heat of summer.
Once you’ve found your hot tub, here’s what you can expect from a spa installation with Blue Apple Electric.
1. Decide if the spa will be installed indoors or outdoors.
An outdoor spa is most common and simple, but an indoor spa experience can be more luxurious and convenient. An indoor spa offers more privacy, easier access, and can be enjoyed regardless of the weather outside. If an indoor spa is installed incorrectly, humidity, overspill or emitted gasses could accumulate and damage the home’s wall finishes, structure or woodwork.
On the other hand, an outdoor spa is best if you plan on hosting backyard parties. So take the time to think about how you plan on enjoying the spa before making a final decision.
2. Make sure the portable spa location is accessible.
If you’ve decided on an outdoor spa, then the Blue Apple Electric will place the hot tub on its side and roll it in on a hot tub cart. Make sure you have an access point that is as least as wide as your hot tub is tall.
A hot tub will be installed on a level concrete pad or a reinforced deck. Other options for a solid surface include a level pad made with stone pavers, a modular spa pad made of heavy-duty plastic, or a composite slab made of wood and gravel.
3. Check the electrical requirements.
Before scheduling a spa installation, check to see if your tub requires 110V or 220V of electricity. A 110V model can simply plug into an electrical outlet in the backyard. A 220V model will require some professional electrical work.
4. Educate the homeowner on maintenance requirements.
With Blue Apple Electric, the spa installation isn’t over until we’ve taken you through the maintenance requirements. We will help you understand how to keep the spa experience safe and enjoyable.
