Blue Apple Electric, a company offering residential and commercial electrical services, is announcing their participation in the Superhero 5K race held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada to benefit the families served by Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. Blue Apple Electric will be a Wonder Woman Sponsor donating $7,500 for the race that will be held on September 14, 2019 at Mountain’s Edge Exploration Peak Park.
The event’s fundraising goal has been set to $170,000 and has raised nearly $40,000 to date from nearly 50 teams. The local community is invited to attend the event, run the race and volunteer in support of families battling childhood cancer hardships. All registrations come with a finisher medal and cape while supplies lasts.”
Jeremy Prevost, CEO of Blue Apple Electric, says, “It’s an honor to contribute to a cause that will have an immeasurable impact on the lives of so many families in the local community. With excitement, we look forward to the race and seeing the many faces committed to the well-being of families enduring the hardships caused by cancer.”
Chartered in 1978, the vision of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada is “to alleviate the isolation many families feel at the time their child is diagnosed” by providing “emotional support, quality of life programs, and financial assistance for children and their families affected by childhood cancer.” Candlelighters serves approximately 125 families every month and up to 600 children (both siblings and diagnosed children) every year.
